My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE: 05/10/2015 - Wt. 45.4 lbs 03/03/2015 DOB 02/23/2014 Cooper, because of his start in life, needs a guiding hand. We are working on his meeting new people, leash training and becoming a little more social. He prefers quiet places, slow pace and lots of love, hugs and walks! He is very quiet in his kennel and loves his bed!

Update 10/2/14 Cooper is very sweet and submissive. He and his brother, Hangman AKA Barney are the only ones left in a litter of 4. He is so affectionate and loves to just chill with you. Cooper is a hugger and wraps his arms around you gently! He is around 45 lbs as of 09/06/2014 and not going to be much bigger.

4 pups were saved from a pile of rubble on 04/09/2014. See Link Below:

These precious pups were found under an old abandoned house. Their mother was abandoned at this homestead and one of our board members has been trying to befriend her. One pup, Hangman, was found hanging from old insulation and near death. He was almost decapitated and one leg was almost severed. He is currently in foster and doing well. The other 3 are in our facility, Cooper, Ohana and T.K. and loving life! We estimate their DOB as 02/23/2014. They each weigh appx 15 pounds. Hangman is much smaller.

More about this shelter

Wynne Friends of Animals came into existence when it learned that the City of Wynne was euthanizing over 800 dogs per year. The city pound was just a dumping place with horrible conditions. Funds were raised and money borrowed to build a new animal shelter which is solely run by donations, grants, etc. Since the opening of this shelter, we have decreased the euthanasia rate by 75 percent. We do it to help God's creatures and for the love of the animals. Our website and our Facebook page have testimonials, additional information, our list of adoptable dogs and more.
