Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Devon is a true survivor!!! This 9 year old female Miniature Pincher came to us with what we were sure was a massive tumor hanging below the back end of her body. We thought we were taking in a hospice dog and prepared to make her comfortable for as long as she had to live. Turns out it was not a tumor but a "sack" containing her major organs, including her intestines, pushed outside her body by a hernia that had been growing for many, many years. How Devon survived like this for all those years is a true testament to her will to live, she had to be in terrible pain. Devon underwent emergency surgery to remove the huge hernia and push her vital organs back inside her body. After weeks of healing time she was left with a lot of loose skin hanging and went back for a 2nd surgery to remove most of the loose skin and maker her more comfortable. This little girl has healed up completely and is a happy-go-lucky, healthy, personable little senior lady whose tail has never stopped wagging. She is ready for a new life with a family that will properly care for her. Devon is animal friendly and would do fine with respectful children over age 6. Adoption fee: $135
