Onyx's adoption fee is $300 which includes his neuter, up-to-date vaccines and monthly heartworm preventative, microchip with lifetime enrollment and a negative heartworm test.

This gorgeous 2 year old boy is very high energy. He tips the scales around 75lbs and is a very strong boy. Onyx is extremely smart and eager to learn, he will do anything for the ball! He is very sweet and loves everyone he meets. Onyx does great with other dogs and loves to play, he's currently living with 6 other dogs in his foster home. He had a rough start in the shelter before he came to us and just completed heartworm treatment. He met several young children in the shelter lobby and was happy to have the kids pet him and didn't mind the cats he encountered. We are suggesting that he not be placed in a home with small children, but older dog-friendly children would likely be ok.

Onyx is crate trained and currently working on his basic obedience and manners with his foster parents and is getting the hang of it in no time! He will need a home with experience in GSDs and that can provide him a job to do like nosework, obedience, dockdiving, agility, etc. He would love to be a member of your family!
