My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Janene was a breeder all of her life. She wasn't in a puppy mill, per se, but was with a formerly respected show breeder who turned greedy and heartless when she put some of her dogs in a breeder dog auction in the beautiful boonies of Missouri - right in the middle of Puppy Mill Central. Janene is a white and very light red full breed Japanese Chin. As with many white and red Japanese Chin, Janene has a somewhat shorter coat. Janene was born April 21st, 2004 so she just had her 4th birthday - plenty of time left in her life to be a well loved pet. She weighs just about 9 pounds. Janene was quite shy when she got here, as you can see by these pix - they really don't do her justice - but she is coming out of her shell beautifully. She likes to be held and is learning to play. I want to mention that many members of the Japanese Chin Club were instrumental in getting these dogs away from the auction. Thank you all very much.


The adoption fee for Janene is $250. Each of our dogs is up to date on all shots, including rabies, spayed or neutered, microchipped, fecal tested for internal parasites, treated if necessary, tested for heartworm, treated if necessary, on heartworm preventative and we also take care of dentals or any other medical needs they may have.
