My story

We adopt to homes within 50 miles of Lansing, Illinois or Munster, Indiana.

Olaf is an adorable little Shih Tzu. He's playful and as sweet as can be. Olaf is most likely 3-4 years old and about 9 pounds. He gets along great with dogs, cats and kids. There's nothing to not like in this little sweetheart, he's what Shih Tzus are known to be, sweet, loving and great companions. He has done great with potty training.

Olaf is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Munster, Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. Adoption fees range from $150-$350. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
