My story

If interested in adopting one of our dogs, you must fill out an adoption application on our website www.whiteriveranimalrescue.org and someone will be in touch for a phone interview.  E-mailing only prolongs the process.

Gauge is a Pointer mix.   Born on May 10th.  They were surrendered to rescue because the family couldn't afford to take care of them.   Gauge is in a foster home with people and another dog.  He loves to play with other dogs and toys.  He is a happy guy who loves to snuggle and give kisses.  He'll be a medium size dog.  

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix based on our experience. All of our dogs are rescues and more often than not we do not know what breeds they may have, as we have not seen their parents. We hope potential adopters take this into consideration when researching rescues and look for dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
