Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am making a plea on behalf of these beautiful kitties...................
Here is their story........................
They were brought to Hillsborough Animal Services TWICE!!
Their owner MOVED out of the home and left these two kitties OUTSIDE to fend for themselves!! The new owners did NOT want them around. They would try and try to get inside THEIR home but they would not let them in(:
The husband got angry and brought them to Hillsborough Animal Services hoping that they would be euthanized not counting on the TNVR program (Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/RETURN).
So they were returned to the address the husband put on the paperwork.
They tried again to get inside THEIR home and he took them right back to Animal Services and told them to not return them or he'd hurt them.
That's when my rescue got called in....................... We were asked to find another OUTSIDE place for them to live with a colony of feral cats. Unfortunately we have to do this a lot because their are just not enough people willing to adopt and so many cats and so few homes.
I'm making this plea because these two kitties are VERY SWEET, completely SOCIAL and scared to be outside their own home but it would be so much more scary in a new OUTSIDE place in an area they are just not familiar.
The statistics tell us that OUTDOOR kitties in general only live 2 to 3 years outside!! These kitties do NOT know how to protect themselves because they were INDOOR kitties their whole lives.
If we do not find a home for them TODAY then they will be released in a new location tomorrow morning.
They are now in big dog crates in my home recovering from their spay/neuter surgery yesterday. Another gal from my rescue is going to pick them up and put them in an established colony with a caretaker who feeds them but these two most likely will take off because the other cats will not all be nice to them.
About them....................
The beautiful tabby with real interesting swirly markings is a male approx. 2 years old and LAP KITTY SWEET. He doesn't even let me get the cage open and he's already purring and trying to rub against the door so that I will pet him and pick him up. He is a total MUSH.
The pretty little Tuxedo is a female who seems to be just under a year old. She is very meek, very friendly and loves to be pet and attention. She'd be terrified outside!!
They are both social and loving and would make great companions. I'd love to see them go together since they have already been through sooooo much but if I need to separate them to save them I will!!
Please call me ASAP so that they do not get released tomorrow. It would break my heart.
They are FREE to an INDOOR home.
They have been spayed/neutered, flea treated, wormed and vaccinated.
Are you willing to open your heart and your home to one or both of these babies?
Thanks,
Meg @ (727)- 308-0923
