Hi everyone! Today is my birthday. I am three months old and have been in my foster home for six weeks now. I have learned so much. I now get free run of most of the house when my people are home, but I like to hang out right by them playing or napping. I went to the vet last week and she was a very nice lady said I a really well behaved puppy in great health and she confirmed that I have definitely outgrown that heart murmur thing. I knew it! I like to run and wrestle and feel totally healthy.
I have learned to run into my crate for my meals and I continue to take lots of trips in the car to go new places and meet new people. I really like going to dog training class. My foster mom teaches and I get to show off how well I give her attention, sit to say please, and walk on a leash. No matter the distraction, I like to stay focused on my foster mom because she is so much fun (and gives me treats!)
I am still going to the nursing home each week too. The residents like me, but the nurses LOVE me. My foster sister, Pepper, is some kind of therapy dog. I could do that! And Pepper is also starting teach me agility, too. I have mastered the wobble board and am starting to learn contacts. I love to learn new things and my foster mom seems to think I am really smart. Of course I am...I am a border collie!

Hi Everyone, My name is Eli and I love my new name. I come running whenever I hear it and I get treats, toys, or a chest rub. Then I can go back to exploring things. I have been with this foster family in Michigan for three weeks now and have had many adventures. It seems like we go somewhere in the car every day. I don't mind the car at all...I get to ride in a crate with Emma. Speaking of crates, I like to take my naps and nighttime sleep in there, too, so I can stop exploring for a little while and just dream or places to explore.
I have met lots of humans. I go to spread puppy love with families in town when my foster mom is busy so I don't have to be home too long because I have to go potty quite often. I have met humans that crawl like me and some that are not much taller than me and some that get around in wheelchairs. They all love me!
When I first got to Michigan, it was a little tough to climb stairs, but now I even skip one once in awhile, just because I can! I also like to run down the hill and wade in the lake and check things out. Speaking of that, did I tell you that I really like to explore new things and today I am writing you from a place they call the cabin and we have been hiking across the street in the Manistee National Forest. I love to run and smell and chew on new things. I been able to go with my foster mom to dog class, the nursing home, football game, and this week I easy got to chase sheep. I like sheep, cats, dogs, actually most things.
I am hoping when I have to leave here I can continue to go places and meet people and have fun experiences. I really like to run off leash as fast as I can and play...these are high on my priority list...plus exploring. I would like to keep learning things because I keep being told that I am really smart!
Later...Eli

Eli was born August 15th and made his way seven littermates to MWBCR. He is being fostered near Muskegon, MI with sister Emma. Eli is super smart. Learned to sit for his treat right away and is super sweet and cuddly. He is having fun exploring lots of new places and meeting new people and dogs.
