Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jake is a Yellow Labrador and Whippet mix and is estimated at 4 months old. He is currently about 20 pounds and expected to be 35-40 pounds as a full-sized adult. His coat is short and blonde/white in color with adorable sandy blonde ears.
Animal control picked up Jake and his sister Maggie who were found wandering in a dangerous area. The shelter contacted our director asking for assistance since other rescues had come and passed them over. We were expecting pretty severe health or behavioral problems since they had been passed over by other rescues, but to our surprise they were normal sweet puppies with just a few skin issues since they had been so badly bitten by fleas.
Even though Jake and his sister must have been very scared, they warmed up to their foster family right away! Jake loves other dogs (big or small) and he is interested in meeting every human who walks through the door. He loves to play with his toys, his foster siblings, and at the end of the day he loves to relax on the couch or on the floor somewhere lounging with one of his toys. He gives the sweetest kisses in the entire world and he is always happy!
Jake’s skin has healed up nicely and he’s ready to find his forever home! His foster parents work with his every day on crate training, potty training, and general commands. He has made great progress and already knows how to use the doggy door and how to “sit”. He is still a bit too young to be neutered, but has already been microchipped, has all of his puppy vaccinations and has been dewormed. His adoption fee is $250. If Jake is the perfect pup for your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website, www.reggiesfriends.org under the Adoptables tab or email adoptions@reggiesfriends.org.
*Jake currently lives in a foster home in Houston, Texas and is available for adoption locally or out-of-town.*
