Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Bam Bam is currently living in Houston with her foster mom and is available for local or out-of-town adoption.**
My name is Bam Bam, yes like from the Flintstone’s except that I’m a girl! I am a black and white Chiweenie, which is now considered a designer breed mix of a Chihuahua and a Dachshund. I’m estimated to be 1.5 years old and I’m about 17 pounds. I’m a little bit shy at first, but I warm up quickly and then I’ll be your social butterfly and lap dog for years to come.
I landed at the city shelter in Houston, Texas by no fault of my own and certainly didn’t belong there! I am so incredibly sweet and happy. My foster mom says that my personality is very sweet. I’m young and curious and like to explore, but I also like to take naps in my bed. When my foster mom tells me to go to my bed at night, I go right to my crate, climb in my bed, curl up and snooze. I’m learning so much in my new foster home to prepare me for my new family.
My favorite things to do are drowning my foster family with kisses, sitting on any available lap, getting my tummy rubs, napping in my comfy bed and following my friends everywhere they go. I also LOVE treats and will be easy to train because of that. I know to take them gently from your hands too and that way they keep coming.
I’ve already learned my name and I come to it when called. I am house trained and crate trained. I’m doing really well on my leash skills, but sometimes all of this new stuff to sniff is just so fascinating and I pull to check it out. I’m not very big though, so I’m easy to reel back in. I’ve learned that belly rubs are the BEST!
Chasing bugs, squirrels and other moving objects is lots of fun and I like to hang out in the back yard sometimes for that. I live with 2 cats in my foster home and although I do bark at them sometimes, we all living peacefully. I also get along with all of the dogs that I’ve met and would be great in a family with a dog or even as the only one in the house. I like kids a lot and would love to have a best friend to spend lots of time with. I would probably look adorable in a tutu!
I’m extremely affectionate with my foster family and when I look at you with my big round eyes and my floppy little ears, I’ve been told I’m irresistibly cute. I wag my tail and my ears flop all around when I’m super happy. My under bite is my cutest factor and gives me the goofiest little smile. I can’t wait to meet my new family and smile all day long. I’d fit into any type of family as long as they love me forever.
Bam Bam is available for out-of-town adoption and is ready to join her new family. Her adoption fee is $300. If she is the perfect pooch for you, please visit our website, www.reggiesfriends.org and fill out the adoption application under the Adoptables tab.
