My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sookie was born around the end of April 2015. She is a purebred Shih Tzu and is your typical busy little puppy. She is outgoing and just loves attention. She is crate trained and is doing great with her house training. Once she is settled into her new home, having a routine will help cement her housetraining. She is playful and gets along well with other dogs. She isn’t afraid of strangers and will love anyone that will love her.

Sookie is fostered in Atlanta, but a meet and greet in Chattanooga can be arranged by appointment.

Prior to adoptions, all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), heartworm tested, microchipped and are kept up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Adoption fees are $300 for dogs up to 8 years of age and $200 for 8+ years.

SOMAD is a private, all volunteer, foster-home based rescue group. Please be patient as we answer your inquiries; we do our best to answer emails within a day, however volume and regular life schedules sometimes delay us.
