My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie was born around the end of May 2015. She is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, or as we affectionately refer to as a “Chi-Weenie.” She currently weighs around 5 lbs. She may be a puppy, but she is an old soul. She will melt in your arms and stay there fur-ever. She may act a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. Her goal in life is to always have a lap to sit on and a bowl full of food. She doesn’t mind sharing her lap with another fur-kid as she knows there is enough love to go around.

Cookie is fostered in Atlanta, but a meet and greet in Chattanooga can be arranged by appointment.

Prior to adoptions, all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), heartworm tested, microchipped and are kept up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Adoption fees are $300 for dogs up to 8 years of age and $200 for 8+ years.

SOMAD is a private, all volunteer, foster-home based rescue group. Please be patient as we answer your inquiries; we do our best to answer emails within a day, however volume and regular life schedules sometimes delay us.
