My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scarlett is a year old and is about 9 or 10 lbs. She is a beautiful girl that wants nothing more than to be helf, sit on your lap or be loved on. She is friendly with new people and is a lover once she gets to know you. She is friendly with other dogs and may play with other very gentle dogs.

Scarlett and her brother were found as strays so we do not know their history, but we believe they are the result of careless breeding. Scarlett has impaired vision but she adapts to new places amazing well. You will be surprised at just how fast she acclimates to her surroundings!

Scarlett is fostered in Atlanta, but a meet and greet in Chattanooga can be arranged by appointment.

Prior to adoptions, all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), heartworm tested, microchipped and are kept up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

Adoption fees are $300 for dogs up to 8 years of age and $200 for 8+ years.

SOMAD is a private, all volunteer, foster-home based rescue group. Please be patient as we answer your inquiries; we do our best to answer emails within a day, however volume and regular life schedules sometimes delay us.
