My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasper is a 14 month old purebred Bernese Mt Dog. He is very friendly, playful, active, and full of the joy of life. Quite energetic. There is still a lot of puppy in him! He loves to go for walks and play with other dogs. Is fine with our cat. Jasper unfortunately had kind of been allowed to become a bit of a wild child in his adolescence, with few limits set on his behavior. His owners surrendered him to us because of his behavior, he does some resource guarding (if you try to take away a "treasure" he has like a stolen shoe, he will sometimes growl/snap.) So Jasper will need ongoing training in a patient and gentle manner to help him become better behaved. We prefer an experienced and adult only home because of his training needs. ~~ For more info on this bred, please see this site: www.BMDINFO.org and also www.BMDCA.org ~~ NOTE: We always require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, especially dogs of large active breeds, and never any of those nasty shock collars (ie no invisible fences.) ~ UPDATE: Good news, Jasper has been adopted. But Drake, Grace, and Beau still need loving homes!
