Macy came into United Yorkie Rescue September 27th along with her 9 yr old rescue sister Lucy, and really wants to stay with her as they are a bonded pair.
Macy’s a little female Yorkie that’s 10 years old and 12 pounds. Like her sister Lucy, Macy loves mealtime and "mooches" when she sees humans in the house have food, which has obviously contributed to her weight status. She is slowly getting used to getting healthy snacks of small pieces of green bean or apple as a treat instead. Macy’s very lovable and likes to follow foster momma around and sit at her feet or nearby. She likes to "watch after" sister Lucy, checking on her frequently if she’s not within sight. Macy loves to snuggle at bedtime and loves a good "belly rub"! Macy’s had some issues with allergies that have caused hair loss in the past, but her hair has grown back since she’s been on an allergy medication and a high quality food that doesn't trigger the allergies. We’ll be addressing this with the vet and establish a food that’ll allow weight loss and allergy relief. The picture is fuzzy, but Lucy is the light colored Yorkie on the right, her bonded sister Macy is on the left. As this pair is still relatively new to our rescue, personality updates will be made to their bio.
