Lucy came into United Yorkie Rescue September 27th along with her 10 yr old rescue sister Macy, and really wants to stay with her as they are a bonded pair. Lucy is a sweet little female Yorkie that is 9 years old and a little Chunky Monkey weighing in at just less than 6 pounds. She loves meal time and also appears to be a seasoned "moocher" when she sees anyone eating, which is probably why she’s such a little chunky monkey. She’s being introduced to healthy snacks, small pieces of green beans or tiny bites of apple, as treats and loves her new weight management food! She would probably be more ideal weight at around 4.5 - 5 pounds, as she is a tiny framed gal. Lucy’s playful and so sweet, she loves being close to someone and follows foster momma all over the house, she sits close at her feet when she’s sitting down and loves to snuggle close at bedtime. Lucy has what’s called a "Yorkie cough" - when she gets excited or runs too much, but her former family said she’s always had the "honk" that so many Yorkies share. We’ll be looking further into this with her to determine if it’s a serious issue or not. The picture is fuzzy, but Lucy is the light colored Yorkie on the right, her bonded sister Macy is on the left. As this pair is still relatively new to our rescue, personality updates will be made to their bio.
