And now a few words from me:

Hi – I’m Darla, a pretty, 11.5-month-old Chiweenie. My foster mom says that I’m a real cutie-pie! I’m full of beans and love to play with my humans and my toys. I can be a bit unsure when first meeting someone, but if they let me approach them, or if treats are involved, we’ll be friends in no time. Because I’m a very curious gal, I need to be kept busy and engaged. Walking on leash without pulling is a new concept, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. I’m a real snuggle-bug in the evening and will sleep through the night in my crate. If you’re looking for an active companion that is tons of fun, we should meet!

And now a few words from my foster family:

Darla is a high-energy girl who loves to play and run around. She is getting 1-1/2 hours of walks daily, and spends another 3 hours playing outside with her foster siblings and checking out her surroundings. Sometimes she plays roughly, but a firm “no” calms her down. By dinnertime she is tired and ready for some quiet time. Darla sits for her meals, rides well in cars, and likes to give kisses. New things such as purses, grocery bags, and plastic chairs are a bit spooky at first, but if introduced properly, she overcomes her fear in a few minutes. Darla is a happy, loving dog. Although she can be a bit cocky and determined, she’s irresistibly cute and makes me laugh every day.
