Bonjour mes amis! I am an ex Quebec mill dog that just came in on the last freedom train. I have the joie de vivre extraordinaire, although I do not speak the francais if you know what I mean.
Miss Fizz (Fizzy for short) is a pretty Chocolate and tan shorthaired dapple that is very sprite and athletic. She is 8-9 lbs and only 2-3 years old. She is hilariously comical. I call her Busy Fizzy as she has amazing energy and loves to play, especially with her sisters- They wrestle for hours! She also plays great with teddys and on the bed.
She loves to go for long walks and to run and run and run. She is very sprite around the house, listens carefully to what you say and is eager to learn. She was potty pad trained when she came to me but has since taken to peeing on my green carpet, perhaps thinking it's grass. We are transitioning to the back yard from potty pads and this green carpet is right in between the pads and the door. She will potty on command outside but definitely does not like inclement weather. When she's outside on nice days she doesn't bother with squirrels- cats are of no interest either. She has not been kid tested yet. Fizzy barks at people when she first meets them but warms up quickly and next thing you know she is in their lap or cuddling. She likes to give kisses but does not over indulge you with them. She sleeps in the big bed all tucked up beside you and sleeps through the night. She does not do well at all in a crate, scratches and whines and will not settle. Even the first night I had to put her in my bed and she slept soundly cuddled beside me. She does not chew anything in the house, so I leave her out when I go to work and she is as good as gold. She sleeps in her own little bed if you tell her too. I put her own little bed on the big bed as I have three doxies now vying for position. She is a real cuddler too, loves to be hugged and to cuddle and sit next to you on the couch. Whenever you move she is right there beside you ready to go wherever you go. I have to work in the mornings and she is good to not fuss and has no separation anxiety that I know of as long as there are other dogs with her. She is a good listener and learner. . She is a really vibrant alive little girl and truly a delightful companion that loves to play. Oh did I mention she is great in the car?! Very alert and loves to look out the window. She is bold, not nervous of anything it seems. Truly a charmer that is learning and loving being free. She is doing very very well on a leash and even sticks close when off leash. Fizzy is not afraid of men at all, and looks adoringly into her foster fathers eyes as she snuggles across his lap. She shows a little possessiveness toward her foster mom, but that will go with time and training.
She is an adorable, very trainable dog who just wants to please. She is looking for a wonderful forever family to love her and give her the space she needs to play and exercise. An active fur sister or brother would probably be loved as well.
