8yr old, red brindle, smooth coat

Hi! I’m Tico!  I’m an 8 yr old, red brindle, smooth, 14 lbs, male! Holy moly – a red brindle! You better believe it – I’m one rare and gorgeous dude! I’m up-to-date on my shots, neutered and ready to curl up on your lap in my new forever home ;)
 
I wound up in a shelter with my buddy Bella…seems our owner couldn’t care for us anymore. How depressing! Thankfully we busted out of that jail and now I’m waiting patiently with my foster family for a real family of my own! Foster mom calls me an old soul! I’m not a big fan of long walks (on the beach or not!) – I actually make foster mom carry me for the first little bit…I get going eventually but at a slow and steady pace – that’s how the turtle won the race, isn’t it? But here’s what you should really know about me: I am a loving and faithful boy who adores spending time with my person. I will cry for attention and a warm lap to snuggle on! I enjoy meeting new people – adults and mature children, you can tell because my tail will start to wag! I don’t even mind cats, squirrels or birds! I’m told this is unusual for a dachshund! Foster mom says I have a very laid back personality and am a pleasure to have around! Of course I enjoy the company of other doggies, but will seek out my human above all else! – Tico
 
Tico is a beautiful, well natured doxie boy! He is housetrained and has learned to sleep through the night in the laundry room with his gal pal Bella, although I am sure he’d much rather occupy the big bed. He truly is a little lap dog that wants nothing more than to spend his day with his human! Although Tico entered rescue with Bella, it is not necessary that they be adopted together.
