KIVA is approx 6 1/2 years old. SHE IS ABSOLUTLEY URGENT. She has been adopted for approx 5 years but has lost yet another home so she is now a foreclosure dog. She needs a foster right away or she may have to be returned to a shelter.
She's a beautiful, very sweet, sensitive aussie mix. She is focused, observant, intelligent, energetic, and loves to play tug of war, keep-away, and chase. She has lovely manners and is a cuddler and loves the outdoors. She remains quite comfortable when the temperature reaches 90+. Loves kids, is dog tolerant but seems to do better with larger breed dogs rather than small ones. She definitely deserves a good sized yard with someone who can provide the kind of mental and physical stimulation a herding dog requires. Kiva is a true beauty...and we adore her, please call soon!!
We are currently working on:
- Walking nicely on leash.
- She is an open-door-bolter, but we are working on teaching her to sit, stay, and wait to be asked in or out of the door.
- Does well with 'leave it' and is working on sit, stay, come, and down. She is treat motivated, so training goes well with treats.
