Coco in Salt Lake City, Utah is looking for a special someone to shower with her love and affection. She is everything you could ask for in a Cavalier as she's sweet, affectionate, and easy-going. In foster care, Coco sleeps in a crate at night, but would love to snuggle in bed with her person. She is reliably house trained and seems much younger than her 10 years of age. She enjoys snuggle time, following her foster family through the house and walks through the neighborhood. Information about Coco's life prior to rescue is limited. She was an owner surrender to a shelter before transferring to foster care with Cavalier Crazy Rescue. While at the shelter, she was brought up to date on vaccines, spayed and had a dental where she lost several teeth. She's recovered well and her sutures will be removed this week. While healthy, Coco is 5-6 lbs overweight and her new family will need to continue her gradual weight loss until she's at the correct weight for her (18-20 lbs). Coco would be best with a family where someone is home most of the day and can make her senior years special. She would do well as a beloved only or with the company of another small calm dog. The family that adopts her will be very lucky to have her in their life. Potential adopters need not be in Utah to apply, but they must be willing and able to travel to meet her in her foster home. As part of a partnership between the Cavalier Alliance and Cavalier Crazy Rescue, Coco will go to her new home with a grant from the Cavalier Alliance towards any heartworm and lyme testing and preventative medicines (not required in Utah), if that preventative is recommended in her new locale. She will also be eligible for 30 days free insurance through their affiliation with Petplan. If are ready to open your heart to the joys of an adult Cavalier, please complete the application on our page at: http://www.cavalieralliance.org/apply-to-adopt/ and email CavalierHelp@CavalierAlliance.org to let us know of your interest.
