Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maalika is fostered Canton Illinois, 61520 through United Yorkie Rescue.
To find out more about Maalika contact her foster momma: dianecarter555@yahoo.com
Maalika is 6 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. She came to United Yorkie Rescue in June 2015, we’re currently assessing her personality, needs and traits for further information here on her bio. She gets along with other dogs, but is not as comfortable with humans yet. Maalika was a puppy mill breeding dog, and lived most of her life in a small wire cage, not getting human companionship. Puppy mill dogs need to learn many things, and their first months of release are times of nervousness, and learning what the world is about. Grass is new, treats are new, warm soft beds are new. Maalika seems to be a very sweet girl as most puppy mill dogs are, and not aggressive at all. With patience and consistent love, Maalika will learn to readily accept love and affection, snuggles, treats, and potty time. She’s working on potty training, and observing the other dogs in her environment. Having another dog in the home is beneficial to puppy mill dogs, as it’s the only companionship they know, and as they learn life on the outside of a wire box, they observe their fur companions who are experienced in the life of freedom, which helps them more quickly adjust. TO find out how Maalika is doing today, please contact her foster momma or United Yorkie Rescue.
