Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LEO is a young (2 years and 7 month) Black lab & shepherd mix, neutered male, 83lbs, utd (up-to-date) on vaccines, and HW negative. He is house trained and very good alone in the home. Leo knows “SIT, and LAY”, when asked to STAY he will stay momentarily then get up (so he could use some help in this area ;-) He is very intelligent and loves learning. Like most young dogs, with this breed combination, his high energy level requires a companion willing to exercise him daily, play, and provide him with a job (search & rescue or jogging or rollerblading….)
Leo is the only pet in his home (an apartment with no fenced yard); he stays inside during the day, sleeps on his dog bed in the house but enjoys sleeping on human beds when allowed. Favorite activities: Leo enjoys giving hugs, playing catch, going on walks, dog park and car rides! His Favorite toys include anything that involves tug-of-war; he chews on bones, but (like most young dogs) destroys stuffed toys. Leo needs a home that can give him more attention, time, and exercise. He would do well in a home with more space, a yard, and lots of exercise routinely. Leo likes to be noticed and is playful, but is calm 1 on 1 with owner. Leo warms up to women quicker and can be protective until he is familiar with a stranger . Leo is typically taken outside to greet visitors because he tends to get excited (jumps) and wants them to play. Leo pulls when walking on a leash, but is learning “heel”. When on leash he will bark at other dogs; if the dog barks at him first he tends to bark back. When off leash Leo runs up to them and sniffs them, he is great at the dog park with people and dogs. MOST ADOPTIONS ARE WITHIN A 150 MILE RADIUS!
