My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

06-15-08 SallyLu is a 4-5 YO seal/white boston terrier girl, very social, playful. She is H/W neg., spayed, fully vaccinated, dental done. She weighs 16 1/2 lbs, mis-marked face.

She doesn't show well at public adoption events with another rescue, thus is en route to our BT foster mom, Judy V.
SallyLu gets along fine with other dogs, is no threat to puppies, will pick up her leash & carry it around.

06-16 SallyLu has arrived! She played well with the other fur-kids at the rendezvous point, sharing an ex-pen & water bowl with 5 others. She then rode very quietly in a pet taxi for the 2 hr. trip.
SallyLu's first stop was to meet Paula, Polly's Precious Paws. A hot bath & massage feel so good after a long day of travel.
She will come on site in the AM, then go into foster care with Judy V at end of week.

06-17 All of the fur-kids arrived on site with Paula, freshly groomed. All had been doggy door trained by the kennel & rescue, have already gone to the door, "Open please, let me out" as we don't have a doggy door.
SallyLu put herself in an open pet crate, thick pillow, soft blanket. While the dachshunds all bunch up like little sardines, she prefers her own bed.

06-19-08 SallyLu visited Doc. She has been diagnosed with a Gr 4 luxating patella.
She has been microchipped by AVID
SallyLu doesn't know she is physically challenged. Watch her run, she is like a speeding bullet, faster than a locomotive! She would welcome an adopter that understands what it is to walk with a different gait yet get around very well.
She then went to foster care with Judy V, our BT foster mom.

The foster updates on his/her likes & dislikes will help you know if this fur-kid is suitable for your home.

The foster has a very important job, evaluating, loving, letting go to make room for another fur-kid at risk.

--------------------------------

The adoption fee ranges from $150 to $300.
The fee is based upon veterinary care, age & size of dog.
The higher adoption fee on the younger small dogs helps care for the older dogs that take longer to find fur-ever homes.
Senior citizens and disabled receive a discount.
We also offer a discount to those in uniform keeping us safe.
Land of the free because of the brave.

Our adoption process begins with the e-mail or phone call to us. Please be prepared to furnish your complete name, address, telephone number, your veterinarian contact information & at least two personal references. We will then call you to ask a series of questions.
