My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WALLY is quite possibly our favorite Blues City dog of all time! WALLY takes sweet, funny, adorable, and happy to another level! All his loose jiggly skin makes him look more like a cartoon character than a real dog! WALLY is a totally happy and friendly guy. He has great manners at the vet and is excellent in public places. The 2 young children in his foster home absolutely adore him. WALLY is great with other dogs! If a big dog tries to play too rough, he simply will not engage. He prefers to walk away. They same thing happens if a grumpy little dog snaps at him. WALLY can't comprehend why anyone wouldn't like him and just want to play nice and cuddle.
He is an exemplary passenger in the car, is house trained, crate trained, and does well on a leash. WALLY is happy around the clock, unless there is another dog around and he isn't allowed to go say hi. He just doesn't understand that. He wants to be the Walmart greeter for everyone. WALLY would be fine in a home with cats because he is afraid of them. When he met a group of cats, he ran out of the room and hid behind a person after a cat hissed at him. He is 3 years old and 68 lbs. WALLY is an absolute joy and his forever family is going to be incredibly lucky!

WALLY is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $300 adoption fee includes an interstate health certificate and transport to Nashville.

All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
