Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I was found wandering in Texas some time ago and I ended up in a shelter. Nobody came looking for me, so Senior Moments Weimaraners took me in. Since they didn’t speak Weim to find out my given name, they called me Pierce, as in Bronsan. I guess it's ok, for a human he’s almost as handsome as me.
While still in Texas, I had surgery to remove a mast cell tumor. They say I'm all healthy now though. Since then, I've moved all the way to West Michigan. I’m pretty healthy for an elderly gentleman, and, as mentioned before, very handsome (humble, too!).
I am about 10 years old, super friendly and enjoy other dogs. My foster sister and I love to romp around the back yard. I get tired quicker than her but she’s cool with that.
I walk ok on a leash. I will pull if something catches my attention (I’m a Weim after all). I like walking the neighborhood. Everyone thinks I’m great (again with the humble thing!).
I do have one little quirk. I like to take my foster mom’s clothes in the closet and make a nest. After being on my own and all alone, it’s very comforting to be in a cozy place with a familiar scent. I don’t tear things up, I just like to curl up safe, warm and dry.
I love to be under the covers in bed at night. I also like to sit next to my human and watch TV. If the show is boring, I find a blanket and pull it up over myself and take a nap.
I am NOT a fan of cats. They stress me out way too much. They remind me of prey and I want to hunt them and since they have dibs on the house it’s not allowed. If it weren’t for the cats at this place I would have free reign of the house when my foster family is at work.
I really like my people so if someone could be around a lot would be best for me. I don’t garbage pick and I don’t potty in the house. I’m still learning my name so please be patient if I don’t always come when called.
My adoption donation is $250. To meet me, fill out an adoption application at seniormomentsweimaraners.com. I'd really like to find my forever family so that another senior in need can have my spot at my foster home.
Many hugs and sloppy kisses are waiting for you! Love, Pierce
