Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The first step to the adoption process is the application. The adoption application can be found on our website at www.greatdanerescueinc.com. We need to have an applicant approved before we give out additional information on the dog and the number of the foster home.
Thank you for looking at my post. My name is Zuri and I am a 1.5 year old Piebald Great Dane. Piebald is a fancy way of saying I’m a black and white beauty with the sweetest personality. I’m looking for a family that will spend time with me, love me and give me lots of belly rubs.
I’ve been told that I am very comical. I keep my foster mom laughing with my silly antics. For starters, I like to lie on my foster mom and look at her upside down. Not to mention, I love the water hose!! Can you imagine me bouncing in the water? Please be sure to buy a water hose if you are my approved adopter. And antlers, they are my favorite too.
My foster mom and I are still working on my manners. A couple of pain points… I’m having a tough time learning how to walk nice on a leash but she isn’t giving up on me. We work on this daily. Also, I haven’t fully made up my mind if I like other fur-balls or not. I’ve been keeping an open mind. I seem to do OK with large furry friends as long as the introductions are slow, proper and controlled. Oh my! Yes, I have one more thing to share…. I can be a bit intimidating as I like to bark but once I warm up to you I like to lean on you and get lots of rubs.
I would also like to mention that I am a true lady and LOVE shoes! If you leave your shoes out I will give them a new look at no cost. Although my foster mom has good manners and likes to share, she tries to keep her shoes to herself. She said my new family will want to do the same.
One last important announcement that I need you to hear and understand, I have Addison’s Disease. Although my Addison’s is under control with medication I will need a family that is experienced with this disease so they will know what is needed when/if it flares up.
This sounds like a lot but I am truly a sweet girl that can’t wait to spend time with my new family! Thank you for reading my story.
