My story

Welcome Colt and Remy!
These are two gorgeous 4 month old male Black Lab mixes. They are both very sweet, friendly, playful and perfectly healthy. One has a typical Black Lab coat and the other has a slightly longer coat, like a Flat-Coated Retriever. The Flat Coated Retriever is Remy and the short Coated one is Colt. They weigh 29 lbs now and will probably reach an adult weight of 70-80 lbs. They would be fun to adopt together (believe it or not, it is sometimes easier to have TWO puppies since they always have a ready playmate!), but can happily be adopted separately. They're friendly with people, including children, and great with other dogs. They haven't been around cats yet but are young enough to adapt to them. They will be neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and fully dewormed prior to transport (they have already received two vaccine sets and deworming and are scheduled to be neutered next week). They are staying with their original family at this time. The family owns the mother, who they have now spayed, but they cannot afford to keep these beautiful pups so are looking for loving forever homes for them. They are currently in Texas and we are using Rescue Road Trips to deliver them to their forever home. Dr. Elizabeth Lowe is vetting them and has pulled them into her rescue to help them out. She is a wonderful local veterinarian that also runs a 501c rescue effort to help dogs. The adoption fee is 200 and the transport fee is 185. They can be delivered to VA, CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA and VT.
