Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amigo is a happy-go-lucky little 1 year old pit bull rescue from the Prince George County shelter. We think he might be mixed with Boston Terrier because he is so small and because of his markings. He is very friendly and gets along with all friendly dogs and people, and is a smaller sized pit at about 40 pounds and coming up to just your knee. He is very gentle, so he is great with young children. He is is black with white 'socks' on his front feet and small pink spots on his nose, and has a big smile when he is panting and happy.
Amigo is very affectionate, and would love to crawl into anyone's lap at the slightest invitation. He will also politely tap you on the arm with his paw and then look you in the eye to ask you for more pets. He is very dog social, and was part of a playgroup at the shelter of 10 different friendly dogs! He is now in a family boarding facility and lives with a new pack of 10 dogs. He has wonderful doggie play manners and would love a home with a doggie sister or brother.
Amigo is a quiet guy and doesn't bark, and he loves treats and is food motivated. He has a medium energy level, he loves to play but is is also up for relaxing and snuggles. We think he also might like swimming because he has tried to step in his water bucket. He also rides very well in the car, and is great at posing with you for selfies. We are still learning if Amigo is potty trained, but we do know that he is very well leash trained (he doesn't pull at all!) and that he isn't a dog that likes to "mark" things. Overall, he is a very well-mannered young man who would make a wonderful addition to any household.
