Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hans, our 12-month old Rottweiler pup, who's looking for his forever home. Hans came to us when a fellow rescuer took him after he was abandoned during the sweltering heat and thunderstorms we had. He came to us with a tarry substance stuck to his coat, on his legs, belly, and back haunches. We were fortunate that Sheila Thulin at Red Rover's Groom and Board in Lake Villa was able to help us by shaving off the tar, after we had bathed him and determined that it was not coming off with soap and water. On top of the tar, Hans sustained severe fly strike on his ears. How anyone can abandon a puppy in the condition Hans was in when he came to us astounds us! Hans is a very nice young man, who is working on his obedience commands and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is currently being fostered with three other dogs, and they all romp and play together. We are also happy to report that Hans' fly struck ears have healed nicely. Someone is going to be very lucky to bring this happy guy home! If you're interested in adding Hans to your home, please visit http://thorr.org/welcome/adoption-application-form/ and complete our online adoption application.
