Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adorable Little Foot is now as happy as a clam, but life wasn’t always great for the 4 lb. Chihuahua. Little Foot was found sick and suffering in a cardboard box and brought to a local shelter. Upon examination doctors discovered that the little red dog was pregnant. Because of her small size none of the puppies had survived and she needed an emergency c-section or she would not make it either. The surgery was performed and this sweet girl was on the mend. Despite the shelter’s hard work to save Little Foot’s life she was still at risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation. Shelter staff had become very attached to her and made a plea to The Pet Rescue Center on her behalf. We could not resist Little Foot’s adorable face and fighting spirit. It was an easy decision. Now this little girl is happy and in need of a home of her very own. She loves to play with toys and is super affectionate with everyone she meets. If you’re looking to add an itty-bitty companion to your home, Little Foot might just be your girl.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
