My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Petrie the 3-month-old, chiweenie! That’s just a silly way of saying that I’m part Mini Dachshund and part Chihuahua. I love running around at top speed and I’m pretty fast for a little guy. My friends here at The Pet Rescue Center keep telling me that I’m adorable and that I have a great pair of ears. They are pretty terrific if I do say so myself. I would like to live in a home where I get a ton of attention and training. I’m really smart but since I’m a puppy I still have a lot to learn. Even though I’m young I’m good on leash and hope that my future family loves going for long walks as much as I do. I’ll be on the small side when I’m full grown so most any type of living situation will be suitable so long as I get plenty of love and enrichment.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
