My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rider is 19 months old, neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and ready to find his forever home! He is gentle, sweet, and loyal to his people.

Rider was rescued off of the streets of California. He was dragging his hind end and after much attention, the animal control department was called. He was taken to the shelter and scanned for a microchip. Luckily, he had one. Unfortunately, the owners didn't want to claim him. Lucky for him, Heath's Haven Rescue was able to step in and save him from the euthanasia list!

Rider was found to have a spinal cord concussion or a Fibrocartilagenous Embolism in his spine, after seeing a neurological specialist at the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. After some rest and hydrotherapy Rider is doing amazing! He is running around and playing with the other dogs at the rescue and loves to play on the dirt!
