Hi! I’m Jake! My foster mom wanted me to tell you about the adventures I’ve been having since coming to stay with her and my foster sister, Harlequinn. Well, it’s been a busy and fun week for sure! It started with the night that my owners met my foster mom at a park and this stray kitty came up to where we were sitting. I got to say hi to the kitty because I’ve been around kitties before and am nice to kitties. Then I got to go for a car ride! I really love car rides especially when I can stick my head out the window! I’ve been on lots of car rides with my foster mom already. We went to the vet who said I was a really nice boy (my foster mom tells me that all the time too) and the vet said I was really good too!
I also took a long car ride when I was in my kennel and we went to this place outdoors that had a really big pool and this long dock that other doges were running and jumping off of into the pool. It was fun watching my foster sister do this. I was a little jealous because I wanted to go in the water too and my foster mom let me go swimming for a minute in the pool! It sure felt good because it was hot that day. I got to meet lots of new people, kids, dogs and even a couple of puppies – I really like meeting new people and dogs! Foster mom told me that she was very proud of me because I handled all this new stuff really well.
We have been playing ball every night and I really love chasing my ball and bringing it back to my foster mom to throw again. We’ve gone for walks to the neighbor lady’s house who comes by every day to let me and my foster sister out but I protect my foster mom’s house and bark at her because I don’t want her to come in! I’m getting to know her more though and she’s a nice lady so I’m starting to warm up to her when she comes over and I’m starting to go out for her now.
I’m really hoping to find someone who will love me, play with me, and take me for car rides!
Hi – I’m Jake’s Foster Mom and everything he says is true! Jake is a Border Collie/Aussie mix and really is a very good boy. Loves to play yet is a couch potato when in the house with you. Housebroken, friendly with people and other animals, crate trained, yet very protective of strangers coming into the house. This is manageable if you put him on a leash and let him sniff the visitor before the visitor interacts with him. With is approach he warms up in no time! Jake will make some family a wonderful dog. I am truly enjoying having him stay with me – Harlequinn is enjoying playing with him too!
