Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Bella is currently living in a foster home in Houston and is available to a loving family for out-of-state adoption.**
Hello, my name is Bella and I’m a blonde, 45 pound Labrador Mix. I am looking for a new family to spend the rest of my life with. I found myself at the shelter because my former owner passed away and I was left homeless. It was a confusing time for me and I went through a pretty significant depression after that. My foster mom said that she could tell that I was desperately missing the person that had loved me very much. I will be that loyal to my new family as well. It took me a good while to come out of my shell, but I am in a great foster home now and I am excited to see what the rest of my life will bring.
I am one of those pups that can be called wise because I'm a bit older. I am estimated at 5 years old, which means I am fully trained and also know my manners. That’s great news for my new family because I am house trained and I know several commands. I walk very well on my leash and really enjoy that time with my foster family. I’m very well behaved and my foster mom says I don’t have any bad habits. I’m crate trained, but my foster family doesn’t have to crate me when they are away because I just relax and wait patiently for them to get back home. She said I’m a very easy dog to live with and that I’m a joy to be around. Due to the tragic way that I ended up in a rescue group, I am still a little bit shy around new people and I take a little bit longer to warm up, but once I do…I’m your sweet, golden girl! I’m not a fearful dog, just a little hesitant at new situations.
My foster mom says I do not act my age because I am very fun, active, and love to explore. Age is just a number, attitude is everything! I love to go for walks and would be a fantastic companion for hiking and beach visits! I really enjoy car rides and I’d love to continue going on new adventures with my forever family. I do really enjoy the company of other dogs and I even like the cat that lives in my foster home too. I’m great with all children and puppies too. My friends say that I’m pretty perfect!
I’m spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and healthy. I will seamlessly fit right into your life after a brief warm up session and then become a loyal companion for years to come. I just recently had a dental cleaning done at the vet’s office so my breath is fresh and I’m ready to give my new family a few kisses.
If you think you have space in your home and heart for me, I’d love to meet you! I’m a special girl and will bring so much joy to a new family. Please contact Reggie’s Friends at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org to arrange a meeting. My foster mom will gladly talk to any potential adopters that want to learn more about me. My adoption fee is $500 to help cover the cost of my airline flight, new crate and bed. If you’d like to fill out an adoption application for me, please visit www.reggiesfriends.org and click on the Adoptables tab.
