Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Your new perfect pal, that’s just what Max wants to be.
Max is a sweet, gentle and extremely devoted little fella. Whatever his foster mama is doing he wants to be right there with her to help. He is calm and cuddly and very well behaved in the house. Max likes to play with stuffed toys, watch you while you cook dinner and go for walks and car rides. He also loves the water.
Max always has a happy expression on his cute face and when he looks up at you his floppy ears stand out like airplane wings. This is one perfect pup! The center of his world is his human family and he can’t wait to find his forever place.
Max is a 6 year old pure bread poodle. He weighs about 15 pounds and has that cute poodle curly coat. He is house and crate trained and walks well on a leash. Max has been fixed and is up to date on his vacations and has just had his teeth cleaned. He is healthy but has suffered from untreated allergies in the recent past. His allergies will require continued treatment has he recovers.
We do our best to place our pups in the right type of home to fit their needs. With this goal in mind we are looking to place Max in a home where he will receive lots of attention. Max does not enjoy being by himself. He needs to be placed in a home without young children present and with someone active enough to give him regular walks. His coat requires special care so an adopter with poodle experience is strongly preferred. Max will also need to be adopted by someone willing to be mindful of his allergies and treat them if needed. Max gets along well with other dogs as long as they are calm and not rambunctious. He would be fine as the only dog present in the home.
If Max sounds like the companion you’ve been looking for please contact his foster mama using the information provided on this site.
****Friends of Cats and Dogs Foundation preforms a home visit with the prospective dog so out of state/area adoptions will not be considered. We apologize for any disappointment this causes****
