My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Lolli is currently living in a foster home in Houston, Texas and is looking for an active, loving family. She is available for adoption either locally or out-of-state.**

Lolli is an adorable, young pup with a personality that fits her cute name perfectly. She’s sweet, playful and everyone loves her. Her rescue story is unlike most of the dogs in our program because she wasn’t a stray. She was a family pet until she was turned into the shelter by her owners due to a move. We cannot understand not taking the whole family along on a move, but when we saw this happening, we took her in and promised her that she will once again be a part of a family and will be there forever! Because Lolli was part of a family, she is familiar with home life, gets along well with everyone, is accustomed to routines and visitors entering the home. She's healthy and well-adjusted too.

Lolli is believed to be a Beagle/Labrador mix mix and estimated to be 1 year old. She currently weighs 34 pounds... a perfect size for all activities. She's very puppy-like, happy-go-lucky, incredibly affectionate and family friendly. She has a beautiful, expressive face and you can just see the love she has for all around her.

Lolli LOVES to play games and enjoys her toys. She can’t get enough of galloping in the grass and playing in the yard and as most puppies do, she loves to chase the squirrels and flying bugs. She would love to visit the dog park to keep up her social skills and meet all of the new people and pups. She’s comical and cute in that setting!

Her favorite things though include getting hugs, kisses and belly rubs, eating meals, playing with her people or other animals and of course, napping after all of that activity. She’s such a sweet girl that she has made her way on to the foot of the bed for night time. She is currently allowed to snuggle on the couch and beds in her foster home and she LOVES that time and hopes to continue that.

She is a bouncy girl and occasionally jumps up on her human friends out of excitement, so her new family will need to continue working with her as her foster family has been. A home with a yard to run and play in would be a perfect fit for Lolli. She still exhibits a lot of her puppy traits and we love her exuberance for life, despite being tossed into a completely new life. She’s adapted beautifully and will do so in her new family too.

Because of her age, her new family will help mold her into the perfect companion for them by including her on all of their typical activities and adventures. She is very smart and eager to learn, especially if you have a snack for her as a reward, which she will take gently out of your hands. She is already picking up on the basics such as sit, lie down, settle down, and go to crate and is doing great with her foster mom so far!

She is housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash unless something interesting distracts her momentarily. She uses a dog harness rather than a collar to help eliminate excited pulling. Lolli has proven to be great with all dogs, kids and even cats that she’s met in her foster family. She likes to play with the cats in her foster family, but if they are not interested in playing with her, then she simply backs away and moves on to the next willing playmate.

Lolli is eagerly awaiting her new family and we are definitely thrilled to help her find it. She is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, microchipped, and is heartworm free. Lollipop is available for out-of-state adoption and her adoption fee is $500, which covers the cost of her flight and travel crate. If you need a boost of amazing every day, Lolli is your girl. Please email us at adoptions@reggiesfriends.org if you are interested in adopting Lolli.
