My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buster is my name and I am an Okie, but I got to Texas as fast as i could. DFW Collie Rescue was nice enough to take me across the Red River and give me lots of love until I find my forever home. I was a mess, my coat had not been brushed in forever and I had loose hair hanging everywhere and huge mats behind my ears. But, guess what, when all that coat was brushed out and mats were removed,my foster found a shiny, black, healthy coat. I am probably what most folks in the collie world would call a "farm collie" because I have the low set ears and my muzzle is not as long, but you WILL NOT find a happier boy anywhere. My tail wags all the time and I have the "collie smile" all the time (except when my foster tries to snap my picture). I do not meet a stranger and love hugs and kisses. i was recently neutered so I still get a little upset when the other male dogs are close to me; but I will get over that soon. I am a medium size dog weighing about 50 lbs. I am current on shots, on heartworm preventive and microchipped. I am a good rider, now how to use a doggy dog and will house train easily. I walk on a leash, but take me on walks and I will get better quickly. i am probably 2-3 years old and ready to rock and roll. I can hardly wait to get the ball rolling so fill out an application at www.dfwcollierescue.org. A home visit and reference checks will be done before you are approved for me to come live with you.
