Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jake is a 1 and a half year old purebred Weimaraner and a sweet boy. He is up to date on his vaccinations, has been neutered and is house trained. Jake has a white marking on his chest. His tail is docked and dewclaws are removed. Jake is being fostered in Davis, CA. He has been to and enjoys dog parks, beach trips, beginner hiking trails and going out in public with his Foster Parents and Foster brother. He enjoys being the sidekick and would do well in an already established pack/household.
Jake is also fine with cats. He is curious about them but will keep his distance until the cat approaches him. Jake has medium level of energy, typical for a Weimaraner his age. He loves to play fetch but will also snuggle up and watch a movie with you. He loves to trot around the dog park while looking for a ball/stick/friend to play with. On his first visit to the beach, he was not afraid to get in the water (up to his chest) and run around.
Jake knows and complies with beginner commands (sit, down, shake, come). He will come when he is called at the park. Jake will continue to receive intermediate training like, drop it, leave it, extended wait, etc. Overall, Jake is a dog that is eager to please and a fast learner.
Jake is a typical Weimaraner in that he loves to be by his human. He will gravitate towards one in the house but will follow commands from others. Jake will also follow directions from strangers.
Jake also does well with loud noises like the vacuum, garbage disposal, loud neighbors, fireworks, etc.
Jake has a great temperament and cute personality. He is a silly Weimaraner that would be great in a home that understands the breed. Jake would do well with a family that already has a dog(s) and enjoys taking their dogs out and about. Jake has been exposed to children in public and is fine with them as well. Jake would do well with an athlete who may want a work out buddy. Jake is a handsome boy with masculine features and strong legs, good for running.
