Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated 8-10-15 Sweet Sterling is an adorable 4 year old, 9 pound little fellow. He is being fostered in Nashville, TN.
Sterling has a few words to say about his new life.
Hi Everyone, My terrific foster parents have discovered so many things about me in the last week! I am very loving and friendly, and I just love to snuggle! My separation anxiety is worse than they originally thought, but with the right FURever home and lots of love, I am sure to outgrow it! I really need a home with someone home with me a lot of the time because I seem to get pretty anxious when you leave me alone.
I am not yet totally house trained and I've had my share of accidents in the house. Luckily my foster parents are very patient and are teaching me to do my business outside. I will need a FURever home with people who have lots of understanding and who are willing to give me the time I need to learn.
I love my foster brothers, so I would do good in a home with another small dog. Since I am small and anxious, my foster parents aren't sure if I would be a good fit in a home with small children. Please fill out an adoption application or contact my foster mama if you want more information on how to bring me home!
I know I am not perfect yet, but I am trying and if you are willing to give me a chance you will not be sorry. I promise to love and kiss you all the days of my life.
Initial Bio 8/6/2015: Sterling is a 4 year old, 9 lb. sweet little Yorkie boy, being fostered in Nashville, TN. Sterling landed in a shelter when his human parents divorced. The shelter staff reached out to United Yorkie Rescue to help Sterling find a PAWSOME FOREVER home where he will feel loved and safe.
The shelter staff say Sterling is a real sweetheart. When he was picked up he was running around the shelter office giving kisses and get lots of petting. He is fine with other dogs and cats too. Sterling has been through a lot of changes recently and because of this he has some real separation anxiety. He needs to have a home where they are firmly committed to him for the rest of his life. He also needs a home where his humans are home quite a bit so that he isn't left alone for long stretches of time.
Sterling's foster mom said Sterling cannot go to a home with children under 12 years old.
Sterling has just landed in his foster home. Stay tuned for updates as we get to know him better!
