Here's what the humans have to say about me:
CELESTE is a lovely Great Pyrenees found abandoned and starving in a remote rural area. We estimate her date of birth to be December 2010. She is spayed, microchipped, fully-vaccinated, heartworm negative, leash-trained and house-trained. She is stunningly beautiful, the type of dog who literally makes people stop and stare. Celeste is bright, charming, friendly, funny, calm, affectionate and quite atypical for a Pyrenees in her need for a social life with her humans. She adores her foster daddy. One of our grandchildren calls her "pillow dog". She is a "princess" and a marvelous companion dog. This is a "pet quality" Pyrenees, not a working dog. She likes her air conditioning in the summer. Don't expect Celeste to guard a flock or stay on the premises if she's turned loose to patrol the acreage. She requires a real fence (not an electric one--she's a big girl, and she'll run right through it). She does not require a large yard. Celeste is nocturnal, like most Pyrenees, and enjoys being outside at night to bark and guard (unless it's stormy). She enjoys the company of other non-aggressive dogs but is rather intimidating to smaller dogs, as she is a giant breed. She'd probably be best as an only dog but could work well with a large companion dog who could deal with her rowdy style of play. She's been in foster care for a while due to some health issues, which are now resolved. She has GI sensitivities and requires a special diet. If you have room in your heart and your life for this giant, gorgeous snuggle bug, please contact her foster mom, listed below. This is a courtesy posting. Celeste is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Celeste's foster mom, Janel Miller (who composed this narrative), at dogrefuge@gmail.com.
