News Flash -- Belinda has arrived in Northern Virginia and is ready to be adopted
Hello there! I'm Belinda. My first family turned me into the shelter because they were moving. I just don't understand why they would do that to me.
I'm 3 1/2 years old and about 40 pounds of sweet, squishy love! I came in on 2/5/2015. That's a long time in shelter time. I've been able to stay here only because I am such a sweet girl. Unfortunately, they found out that I am heartworm positive. That puts me pretty close to the top of the list; if they need to make room for other dogs to come in.
I miss my family. I hope that some kind family will save me, and take me into their hearts and their home. I promise that I will be a loving, faithful companion for the rest of my days! Please E-Mail soon so that I can have my own precious golden ticket to go north to a place where I can get well and start a whole new life!
CHS will pay for and fully supervise her HW treatment, and will either adopt her or foster her until the gentle “Slow Kill” treatment is completed. CHS is a no-kill shelter, and we try our best to help these “At Risk” dogs find a new loving home. Belinda has been very well vetted and has an extensive kennel card that shows her health care to have been excellent.
