My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVAILABLE 07-28-15 Charlie was just a puppy when he went to live with his person. Now it's July and he's seven months old and was brought to the Shelter, because his owner is joining the Navy. The owner was able to tell us that Charlie is mostly house trained and will go to the door to go out. He has been taught both the sit and stay commands. Charlie likes to play with other dogs. He enjoys walks, hiking, playing fetch and running with his owner. Charlie is mostly Golden Retriever. His shots are now up to date and he's on preventative for heart worms. He's still pretty much a puppy with lots of energy and play in him, so Charlie would do well in a home with a fenced yard where he could run and play or where he could take leash walks/runs then go inside for a nice nap. If you feel you might be able to give Charlie a home where he will be loved and cared for FOREVER, please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and meet Charlie.
