My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freyja, female, 3 years, Lab/ APBT, fawn, 60lbs

Freyja came to us with a litter of 8 2.5 week old pups. We received a call from an adopter, that she had taken up residence in a friends yard and would not allow for anyone to come near.

Sure enough she had 8 beautiful babies hidden in their shed. After a long wait we were finally able to get Mom and off to safety the family went. It has now been almost 7 weeks since that day and her babies are off and starting their new lives.

Freyja was a terrific Mom and did an amazing job with her pups.

Freyja's biggest shortcoming is she is very untrusting of humans she does not know and takes time to warm up. She often has to meet the person 2 or 3 times before she is comfortable, though this is not always the case. She will need a home with patience and that is willing to work on her confidence building.

Freyja is crate with dogs of all sizes, male and female. She also does not mind the company of cats. Due to her initial distrust of strangers she would need a low traffic household with no children.

Freyja is quite the jumper will need a six foot privacy fence to keep her safe. She is crate trained and a quick learner.

Once Freyja trusts you, you have a friend for life. She is a huge cuddle bug and loves to be with her humans. She wants to be wherever you are and will follow you around the house, she just wants to be by your side.

Freyja will be an amazing girl (not that she isn't already) with a little guidance and patience. She has obviously had a past that was not so great, but she is willing to trust again and has nothing but love to give.
