Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Skipper is an 8 year old neutered 8 lb Yorkshire terrier (UTD on vaccines). He is very small but a very active and spunky little boy! Skipper came to rescue when he was spending his days in a crate where the family had no time For him. He was chased and handled incorrectly by his young children and started to fear the children. Given up because he started having accidents and nuisance barking in the house poor Skipper found himself without his family of 6 years.
Skipper has since transformed into an amazing little companion. Skipper is sweet and friendly and loves to play !!! Skipper loves to chase a ball and play with smaller dogs. He is crate trained and can walk nicely on a leash! He currently walks at least 5 km every day and has no problem keeping up on his daily hikes!
Skipper is currently on medication for epilepsy, yet he has not had a seizure in OVER a year. His medications (daily) are very inexpensive approximately $125.00 per year! Otherwise skipper is a very healthy dog. We have really worked very hard with Skipper and his urge to escape. We are so happy to say that after only 2 months of training Skipper no longer tries to leave the yard. We even have him off leash hiking :) Once Skipper bonds with his human that is the only place he wants to be. However in new places And backyards Skipper looks for a place to slip out, so a SECURE yard is a must.
Skipper is being fostered with two other dogs (1 large and 1 small) and he is great with both. His foster Dad takes him to the dog park every day and although he prefers to stick with you (on leash) he is fine meeting new people and dogs. Skipper is the biggest lap dog ever! He absolutely loves to be in your lap.
Skipper is very cuddly and playful and has so much love to give. He would love a home with a small canine companion to play with and a warm lap to cuddle up in! Older children please. Skipper wouldn't do well in an apartment or with someone who works long hours. If you think you are a perfect match for Skipper please feel free to email kerrysk9revolution@hotmail.com for an adoption application
Questions that have already been answered will not be responded to as we are a volunteer based organization we all have jobs and families of our own. Thank you so much for your understanding.
