My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated Bio 7-24-15 – Sparky is an energetic, little 2.5-year-old, 8 pound yorkie boy. He is being fostered in Dunedin, FL

Hi everyone, Sparky here with lots to say!

Foster Mom says I’m so sweet I should melt in the rain! I’ve already taught her lots of things about me like I love everything and everybody! I’m a happy little fellow, who is too thin for my size, but my foster mom says she is going to fatten me up some. I travel very well in a car with my harness and safety leash always on. I walk well on a leash, and get all sorts of compliments when I walk my foster mom around.

I have a little bit of a cough, so I’m taking some pills to make me better. I’m not completely house trained, but I do like to potty outside. Foster Mom is helping me figure it out, and I just know I’ll get it really soon. I’m adjusting quite well in my foster home, and I will make someone a great family member soon!

Because I’m still a young fellow, I love to run and play, and will need a fenced in yard, but still I will need to be supervised. Because I am small I can’t go to a home with children under 12 years old.

I’m not quite ready for adoption right now, but we are taking applications, so feel free to fill one out just for me. You won’t be sorry to make me your special little fellow.

Initial Bio 7-22-15 Meet Sparky, United Yorkie Rescue's newest little fellow. Sparky is a young boy, probably only about a year old. He is a Yorkie mix and weighs 12.2 pounds. He is being fostered in Dunedin, FL.

Sparky just arrived at his foster home today and his foster mom and dad are just getting to know him. What they already knows that Sparky did great in the car ride to his foster home. He appears to be super sweet and has attached himself to his foster parents. He seems to be getting along well with his new foster brother and even the cats.

Being so young Sparky is full of puppy energy, but he did walk very nicely on the leash when taken outside to do his business.

There will be more coming on Sparky soon as he settles into his foster home. Watch for updates and new pictures.
