My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is with the Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) and is not a Furry Friends Network (FFN) dog. All adoption decisions regarding this dog are made by CPAA.

Posted 7/18/2015. Meet Monkey, or "Monk" for short! He's a pretty cool guy who is looking for either a foster or furever home of his very own! Monk is a 1-2 yr old, 70 lb, Bull Terrier mix with lots of energy to spare and tons of love to give! He loves to snuggle and loves his human friends but is sometimes selective with his dog companions, so proper introductions would be required if you already have dogs at home. We are not too sure how Monk would handle feline companions but we can check that out ahead of time too.

Monk has had a pretty rough life up to this point and lived in a very unsafe home. Thankfully some great rescuers stepped up and managed to get him removed from that life and now this sweet boy is ready to move on to the spoiled life that all dogs deserve. Monk is a very smart guy and walks GREAT on a leash, but does tend to jump up too much so we are working on these behaviors. Because of his high energy level we believe Monk would do best in a home without small/younger children, but should do well in your home if you have kids ages 12 and above. Monk is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, microchipped and ready to find his forever home! Any possibility that you have a spare couch he could crash on?
