Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cali is a three year old Harlequin female who is looking for an easy going family. Cali has been temperament tested and did very well. She will need someone who is familiar with tougher to clip dogs as she is not fond of her nails being done. She will allow it, but will fight some. Cali has had some problems with toy aggression in the past and will need a home that can separate dogs during toy play or in an only dog home.
Cali has been to the Vet for her wellness exam and did great. She is missing the large pad on one of her feet and walks with a limp because her legs are not even. This can cause some discomfort for her and she is on Glucosamine supplements that will need to be continued. We have gotten her a leg brace that will act as a pad for her and she should do well with the extra support. Once her body is aligned like it should be the stiffness may go away. Cali is current on her vaccines and she is spayed and microchipped.
Cali has recently been diagnosed with hypothyroid. We are managing her with medications and as long as she is monitored should lead a happy healthy life! Potential adopters should be aware that she will require medication for the rest of her life, however it is only about $20/month.
Some notes from her foster mom: Cali is a one of a kind dog. She loves to have her own blanket, she loves squeaky toys, she loves to play tug a war. She's very intelligent and knows some commands like sit and lay. She is very easily redirected by telling her to go lay down she will go jump on the couch. I am hopeful that her new home will let her lay on the couch because when she does sleep on the floor she gets really sore and those days she is unable to move as well. We blocked her in the kitchen one night because she had diarrhea she was on one of those big beds but still was really stiff and sore the next day. So I am hopeful they will let her sleep and lounge on the couch. She does not chew anything unless you can get ahold of a plastic bottle then she just destroys it. She does not have any type of separation anxiety that we've noticed she's just pretty OK with laying on the couch when we leave. She has only had two accidents in the house. One was right after her surgery and the other was when she got into the garbage. She loves to be with her human and she loves attention and Webb to lay her head in your lap. She also doesn't mind cats. She is very patient and loving I'm hopeful that the home she goes to can give her a lot of attention.
