Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Noah! I'm a bichon frise just under 2 years old. I was rescued from a puppy mill when I was just a baby, placed in an adoptive home, and was just recently returned to the rescue. I was returned because some of the grandkids in the family were mean to me when I was really little and so I was scared of them and chased them when they came to my house. The other grandchildren that came I was just fine with. It was just these particular kids I didn't like because they had been mean to me. Seems unfair that I had to come back to rescue. I loved my mama and daddy so much, but that was the choice they made. So now I'm looking for a new forever home where I will definitely live FOREVER!
Some fun things about me are: I LOVE playing fetch! I have a red kong ball and I could chase that thing and bring it back to you all day long if given the opportunity. I'm used to having a fenced yard where I can run and play safely, so I want that in my new home as well. I do really well with other dogs and would be fine with a doggie sibling, but I also would be fine as an only dog as long as I got to have play dates with other dogs once in awhile. I am fine with older children, but because of my history in my previous home, I'd prefer a home without small children (under 8 years old). I am super, duper affectionate and just love, love, love people. I guess you could say I have the typical bichon personality! I love to be cuddled and get lots of attention. I got to sleep in bed at my previous home, so I want to go to a home where I'll be allowed in bed with you.
I've been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), dewormed, and I'm up to date on my vaccinations. I'm being fed a high-quality food that doesn't contain any corn, wheat, soy, meat by-products or other low-quality ingredients, and I hope my new family will continue to fee me a good food for the rest of my life. I'm being fostered in Barneveld, WI, and my adoption fee is $350. If you're interested in adopting me, please email Margaret at loveforbichons@gmail.com to request an application.
The adoption process with Safe Haven Bichon and Friends Rescue includes an application, reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs on planes or send them on long transports. Adopters need to come to the foster home to adopt.
