My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Initial Bio 7-14-15 Princie is a very sweet but timid little boy. He is 6 1/2 years old and only 5.5 pounds. He is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.

Princie arrived at his foster home today. He is such a loving, darling little boy who only wants to feel safe and secure.

Princie was saved by his former owners who rescued him from an abusive situation. He is still slowing signs of that trauma. It was only recently that his former owners, who loved him very much had to make the hard and very sad decision to surrender him to United Yorkie Rescue because he was being bullied and picked on by the bigger dog in his home. His owners realized that Princie needed to be in a home where he would not be terrorized and frightened all the time if he was ever going to live a happy life.

Princie already feels happier in his foster home with his foster sisters and brother who are his size and smaller, but he still has a ways to go to feel comfortable and secure. Princie would need a home preferably where he is the only dog, or with a dog much smaller than he and more on the docile side.

Princie appears to be not totally house trained. His former owners said he may mark. However, Princie has had several accidents in the house so his foster parents are not sure that he really is fully house trained. He does go outside, but he will potty inside too. His foster parents are working on stopping this, but it may take a little time. It may also be that he is not familiar with where to go and how to ask to go out and once he figures that out he will no long potty in the house. Princie does ride great in the car, walks nicely on the leash, and so far has been very quiet.

Princie is already neutered and fully vaccinated. A home with adults only and no other pets would be best for Princie, however a very small dog and children over the age of 14 might be okay too. Whoever does adopt Princie will have to have be patient with him while he learns to trust that he no longer has to be afraid of anything again.

If you would like to make this very sweet and loving little boy yours forever and give him his safe and happily ever after, please fill out an adoption application and make him yours.
